This day in Beatles history

On this date in 1965 (it wasn't Thanksgiving that day though) the Beatles started what would evolve into music videos. By this time in their career the Beatles were no longer anxious to go perform their new singles live for every TV show that asked for their appearance. That said though, they still wanted their singles to be promoted by these shows. So they came up with the idea of going to a studio and have themselves filmed miming to their songs. This they did and so 41 years ago today the Beatles were filmed miming to these songs: 'We Can Work It Out', 'Day Tripper', 'Help!', 'Ticket to Ride', and 'I Feel Fine'.

Angus!

Are these the videos where it looks like Paul is missing a tooth?

No those were made about six months later. Those were the 'Paperback Writer' and 'Rain' promos where Paul had a chipped tooth from an accident.

Thanks. You are the Mr. Spock of Beatle knowledge.

Yes Angus, I agree with Scottius about you being the "Mr. Spock of Beatle knowledge" and quite "logical" too I might add! :)
